How to read a Global Market report
How a situation in the world reaches sectors, commodities and companies — mechanisms and exposure, not predictions.
updated Sep 12, 2026
What it measures. Starting from your question ("how does X affect Y"), the report researches recent coverage, identifies the affected sectors, companies, ETFs and commodities, pulls their current data, and explains the transmission channel — which revenue or cost line moves, and in which direction.
How to read it. Scenarios are named after states of the world ("Continued conflict", "Negotiated settlement"), each with a trigger condition and the names more or less exposed under it. Probabilities add to 100 and are the analyst layer's judgement of the research, stated so you can disagree. Every price level carries a basis and a source; a level without one was left out on purpose.
What it does not say. There is no score in this report by design, and no instrument is labelled as something to buy or hedge with. "Well positioned" describes a business, not its shares.
How to use it. Use it when a headline is moving markets and you want the map before the details. The follow-up analyses list at the end names the single-ticker reports that go deeper on the names it surfaced.
